I'm in the process of moving house (and losing my day job, but I don't like to dwell on that), so today was spent doing random fixing things like building a door frame for my doorless garden shed, which of course was a perfect time to listen to some audio files. Fingers crossed the audiobook for Tube Riders will be out by early August. My progress on the WIP stalled a little today, partly because the cat had claimed the only remaining chair in my current house and my back was too painful to write while sitting on the floor (yes, I love cats that much...), but it's passed 74k so I'm pretty pleased. Hoping to get a new novel out in Aug but July is basically the busiest month of my entire life so a July release is unlikely. We'll see...

Today's schedule went something like this: Get up at 7am, make an audiobook cover, do some house repair, go to the dentist, do some more house repair, teach a class, review some audio files on the way to another class, come back at 5 and spend an hour banging nails, listen to some more audio chapters, write 1561 words, pass out (I'm about to). I love Saturdays... Busy days as always. I recently passed 300,000 words for the year (my best in a calendar year and it's only July!) and the sequel to a book I haven't released yet is almost done. I'm aware that I've not released a new novel since Tube Riders: Revenge in January, but that's going to be rectified very soon. They'll probably come in a flood, two or three over a couple of months. That seems to be the way I operate at least. Anyway, it's over 30 degrees here, I've got no air con and it's almost nine PM. Trying to get another thousand words or so before I crash and attempt to sleep until the cats start getting up around 2 a.m... |
